The Library is the main resource center of the Institute, providing a conducive environment for learning. It provides excellent facilities to the students and faculty for their research, studies, training, and consultancy activities. The Institute (GIDS) Library is fully automated and works on the LIBSYS system, and online access is available to the faculty and students. The library has a rich database including DELNET, EPW ResearchFoundation time series data, etc. It has some CD-ROM Databases especially of World Bank and the Uttar Pradesh Government publications. Library provides current awareness services which include article indexing and abstracting, book reviews, subject bibliographies, and books on inter-library loan, etc. It subscribes to print copies of 90 Indian and 12 international journals, and a large number of journals are subscribed through JSTOR and EBSCO. The library has enriched itself by adding almost all the good social science books published in India and abroad in the last decade.
